Edward Schrock

Edward C. Schrock, 91 of Arthur, passed away at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21, at the HCK West Building, Arthur. Bishop Ervin E. Plank officiated. Burial was in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur. Visitation was held Sunday, March 19, and Monday, March 20, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Edward was born on October 30, 1931, in Arthur, a son of Christian A. and Annie D. (Yoder) Schrock. He married Clara J. Chupp on October 3, 1957, in Arthur.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; four sons, Ezra Schrock and his wife Linda of Arthur, Lewis Schrock and his wife Stephanie of Lerna, Levi Schrock and his wife LeAnna of Arthur, Eli Schrock and his wife Arlene of Arthur; and two daughters, Arlene Stutzman and her husband Nathanael of Worthington, Ind., and Ruthann Herschberger and her husband Mervin of Arcola; 38 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alta C. Schrock of Arthur; two step-sisters-in-law, Marie Schrock of Ohio and Frances Schrock of Arthur; and one step-brother, Andy Schrock of Florida.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Annie Schrock; stepmother, Sovilla; two sisters, Lydia Miller and Elizabeth Schrock; one grandchild, LeAnna Stutzman; and three great grandchildren; four stepbrothers, John, Dan, Levi and Abe Schrock; and one stepsister, Anna Helmuth.

Edward was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. And he was a retired carpenter.
