Alma Kate Miller

Alma Kate Miller, 86, of Tuscola, passed away 6:49 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, at Lincolnshire Memory Care, Decatur.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Lovington. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home in Lovington. Burial will be in Hewitt Cemetery, Lovington. Memorials may be made to the Lovington Church of God.
Kate was born on January 7, 1936, in Tompkinsville, KY; the daughter of Olen and Maude (Emberton) Netherton. Kate married Clyde William Miller on November 29, 1952 in Fort Smith, AR; he preceded her in death on December 1, 2021. She was a member of the Lovington Church of God and the First Baptist Church in Tuscola.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. Bill (Laurie) Miller of Winterset, IA, and Dr. Rick (Brook) Miller of Charleston; daughter, Connie (Mike) Carlson of Decatur; grandchildren, Mindi (Nick) Shields of Tuscola, Allison (Thomas) Lindner of Des Moines, IA, Caitlyn (Chad) Zimmerman of Des Moines, IA, Amy (Dan) Iddins of Fishers, IN, Lindsay (Shawn) Dubbs of Markleville, IN, Sarah (Dustin) Walker of Decatur and Kelsey (Jake Allgood) Miller of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren, Alicia, Tyler, Harper, Leo and Briar; sisters, Maureen (Don) Sanders of Sullivan and Linda Jarand of Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter, Julie Griffin.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Lincolnshire Memory Care and to Elara Care Hospice for the loving care they provided to Kate.
