East Prairie middle school Lady Hornets track and field season recap

Home Meet – April 21
Seventh Grade 
The 4×200 relay team of Makenzie Spencer, Hoshstetler, Makayla Sexson, and Addy Revell finished in 4th with a time of 2:12.16. Ava Whitson finished 6th in hurdles and Isabella Dueker was awarded 3rd in the 800-meter run. The 4×100 team of Tessa Brucker, Rixie Lyons, Emma Spillman, and Whitson also claimed 2nd place. In the 400-meter race, Dueker finished in 3rd and Brynlee Ring claimed 7th. In the 200-meter race, Revell claimed 3rd place, Sexson finished 5th, Hoshstetler followed in 6th, and Brucker was awarded 7th. The 4×400 relay team of Brucker, Hostetler, Sexson and Revell won 4th place. In the field, Abbey Meyer won 1st place in the shot put with a 20’5” throw. She was followed by teammates Sicily Moss in 4th and Lyons in 5th. Meyer also won first place in discus with a throw of 70”1’, followed closely by teammate Moss in 3rd. 

Eighth Grade 
The 4×200 relay team of Reese Davis, Lilly Kurtz, Chloe Fowler, and Chloe Bowden won 1st in a time of 2:02:32. Kate Foltz won 1st in the 400-meter race, Deondra Cook claimed 3rd in hurdles, and long jump Davis finished in 3rd. Kali Fonner finished 3rd in the 100-meter dash, followed by Cailin Munson in 7th. The 4×200-meter relay team of Munson, Heal, Fonner, and Phoebe Wilkins claimed 2nd place. The 4×400 relay team of Wilkins, Fowler, Davis, and Bowden also finished in 2nd place. In the 200-meter dash, Bowden won 2nd place, Fowler followed in 4th, Davis won 5th, Kurtz was awarded 6th, and Wilkins finished in 7th. In the field, Foltz set a new school record and won first place in the pole vault with a 10’1/4”. Izabella Taylor claimed 2nd place in shot put, followed by Tori McCollom in 3rd and Manzella in 4th. Taylor also won 2nd place in the discus and was followed by Lidia Manzella in 3rd. 

Junior High Invite – April 23
Seventh Grade
In the field, Kinzie Cleland won 1st place in shot put, followed by Meyer in 2nd. Meyer additionally claimed 2nd place in the discus, followed by Moss in 3rd place. Whitson finished in 3rd in the pole vault, followed by Spillman in 5th. The 4×400 relay team of Brucker, Whitson, Sexson and Revell finished in 5th place. In the 200-meter dash, Sexson finished in 6th place, followed by Revell in 7th. Dueker claimed 8th place in the 800-meter run, as well as 6th place in the 1600-meter run. Revell finished in 7th place in the 100-meter run. The 4×200 relay team of Spencer, Hostetler, Sexson, and Revell set a new personal record and claimed 2nd place. The 4×100 relay team of Brucker, Lyons, Spillman, and Whitson finished in 4th place. Whitson finished in 6th place in the hurdles, followed by Dueker in 8th. 

Eighth Grade
In the 100-meter dash, Bowden set a new personal record and claimed 1st place. Cook took 3rd place in hurdles, Davis won 4th in the 400-meter dash, and Davis took 4th in the long jump. The 4×200 relay team of Davis, Kurtz, Fowler, and Bowden claimed 2nd place, and the 4×100 relay team of Muson, Fonner, Ritter, and Wilkins won 3rd. Bowden claimed 2nd place in the 200-meter dash, followed by Fowler in 4th. In the field, Foltz won 1st in the pole vault with a 7’6” jump. Taylor claimed 2nd in the shot put, followed by McCollom in 5th. In discus, Taylor finished in 4th, followed by Manzella in 5th. 

St. Joe – April 27
Seventh Grade 
Revell won 1st place in the 400-meter dash, Dueker claimed 5th in hurdles, and Spillman achieved her personal record and second place in the pole vault. The 4×100 relay team of Brucker, Lyons, Spillman, Whitson won second place, as well as the 4×200 relay team of Spencer, Hostetler, Sexson, and Revell. Witt finished in 4th place in the 1600-meter run, followed by classmates Rebollo in 5th and Carswell in 6th. In the 200-meter dash, Sexson finished in 2nd place, followed by Whitson in 3rd place, Hoshstetler in 4th, and Spencer in 6th. Dueker claimed 3rd place in the 800-meter run, followed by Ring in 4th and Presson in 6th. The 4×400 relay team of Brucker, Hoshstetler, Sexson, and Revell claimed a new personal record and 2nd place. Dueker finished in 8th place in the long jump. In the shot put, Cleland took 2nd place, Lyons claimed 6th, and Meyer in 7th. Meyer won 1st place in the discus, and Cleland followed closely with 2nd place. 

Eighth Grade
The 4×200 relay team of Wilkins, Davis, Fowler, and Bowden set a new personal record and claimed 1st place. Ritter finished 2nd in hurdles, followed by Cook in 3rd. The 4×100 relay team of Munson, Fonner, Cook, and Ritter also set a new personal record and claimed 2nd place. Taylor finished 3rd place in the 400-meter dash, Davis claimed 5th in the long jump, and McCullum won 2nd place in the shot put. In the 200-meter dash, Bowden won 2nd place and Fowler claimed 6th place. Hannah Kidwell finished in 2nd place in the 800-meter run, followed by Trinity Jean in 3rd. The 4×400 relay team of Wilkins, Fowler, Davis, and Bowden finished in 2nd place. 

Arcola – April 28
Seventh Grade 
In the 1600-meter run, Rebollo won 1st place, Dueker took 4th in the hurdles and long jump, and Revell claimed 2nd in the 200-meter dash. Revell claimed 3rd in the 100-meter dash, followed by Sexson in 4th. The 4×200 relay team of Hostetler, Whitson, Sexson, and Revell won 2nd, as well as the 4×100 meter relay team of Brucker, Lyons, Spillman, and Spencer. In the 400-meter dash, Brucker claimed 1st place, followed by Sexson in 2nd and Spencer in 6th. Dueker took 3rd in the 800-meter run, followed by Ring in 4th, Caswell in 7th, Spillman in 9th, and Presson in 10th. In the field, Cleland won 1st place, Lyons claimed 2nd place, Moss followed with 3rd, Meyer took 5th, and Dandy claimed 9th. Meyer won 1st in the discus, followed behind teammates Cleland in 4th, Lyons in 6th, Moss in 7th, and Dandy in 10th. 

Eighth Grade
In the hurdles, Ritter took 4th place and Cook claimed 5th. Chloe Bowden earned 2nd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.18. She was closely followed by classmates Davis in 5th, Fowler in 6th, Wilkins in 7th, and Munson in 8th. The 4×200 meter relay team of Wilkins, Davis, Fowler, and Bowden then took 2nd place in a time of 2:05.80. The 4×100 team of Munson, McCollom, Ritter, and Fonner claimed 3rd place in 1:01.36. Davis finished 6th in the 400-meter dash. She was followed by teammates Fowler in 7th and Wilkins in 9th. Munson was awarded 5th place in the 200-meter dash, followed closely by Fonner in 6th and Leonard in 7th. In the 800-meter run, Kidwell finished 3rd and Jean followed in 4th place. In the field, Taylor claimed 2nd place in the shot put with a 22 inch 04.50 throw, followed by McCullom in 3rd and Manzella in 6th. Taylor also won first place in the discus with a 51”08 throw. Classmate Manzella finished in 4th with a 51”08 throw. 

Conference – May 2
Seventh Grade
The 4×200 relay team of Hochstetler, Lyons, Sexson, and Revell won 1st place. Whitson took 5th in hurdles, Meyer claimed 2nd place in discus, Cleland won 5th place in the shot put. In the 100-meter dash, Sexson finished in 7th, followed by Revell in 8th. In the 1600-meter run, Dueker finished in 3rd and Witt claimed 8th. The 4×100 relay team of Brucker, Spencer, Presson, and Whitson finished in 6th. In the 400-meter dash, Revell won 2nd place and Brucker claimed 4th. Dueker won 3rd in the 800-meter run, followed by Ring in 6th. The 4×400 relay team of Brucker, Hostetler, Sexson, and Revell won 2nd place and set a new personal record. 

Eighth Grade
The 4×400 relay team of Kurtz, Fowler, Davis, and Bowden won 1st place. Bowden also finished 3rd in the 100-meter dash and Davis claimed 5th in the long jump. In hurdles, Ritter won 3rd place, followed by Cook in 4th. Foltz took 1st place in the 1600-meter run, followed by Kidwell in 6th. The 4×200 relay team of Davis, Kurtz, Fowler, and Bowden won 2nd place. The 4×100 relay team of Munson, Fonner, Ritter, and McCollum finished in 4th place. In the 400-meter dash, Davis finished in 3rd place, followed by Fonner in 6th. Fowler claimed 6th place in the 200-meter dash, followed by Bowden in 7th. In the 800-meter run, Foltz won 1st place and Kidwell claimed 8th. In the field, Taylor finished 5th in the shot put, followed by McCullom in 6th. Taylor additionally set a new personal record and finished 5th in discus.
