COUNTRY Financial Representatives Vicki Bishop and Sara Sentel were pleased to support Tuscola Police Department’s Shop With a Cop Program as the 2021 recipient of COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation. Bishop presented a $750 check and a $500 Walmart gift card to Officer Tim Jimenez and Officer Taylor White with the Tuscola PD at their office on December 9.

“I’m so pleased to be able to help take care of those who help care for us and enrich our lives every day within our community – our first responders and teachers,” said Bishop. “It’s a small token of our appreciation that I hope will continue allowing the Tuscola Police Department to positively impact our community.”

Shop With a Cop is a program that allows families in the community to recieve extra support for Christmas. Donations are used to purchase gifts and then on Saturday, December 11, children and their families joined the police department to select gifts.

The officers thanked Bishop and Sentel for their donation and said that “it was going to help a lot of children and their families this Christmas.”

COUNTRY Financial donated $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders and active-duty service members, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.” COUNTRY Financial is continuing the program in 2021 and expanding the opportunity to educators, to help financial representatives further support their local community. The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support local non-profit events and programs that benefit active-duty service members, veterans and their families.
