Tuscola High School Football and Volleyball Spectator Guidelines
Editor’s Note: In the IHSA board meeting on March 8 the board announced that “IHSA schools located in Regions that are in Phase 4 can increase spectators from 50 persons to 20 percent venue capacity in outdoor sports. This increase in spectator attendance is applicable for outdoor sports only.” We will include Tuscola’s updated guidelines when we have it available.
Tuscola High School announces their IDPH Spectator Policy for Football and Volleyball under current IDPH Guidelines. While they are not going to be able to accommodate all spectators, or even entire families, they will provide an opportunity for all students-athletes to have representation in the crowd. The following guidelines will be in place and expected to be followed. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in an invitation to leave our facility.
TCHS Football Spectator Guidelines
* Masks must be worn at all times.
* Failure to follow IDPH guidelines will result in immediate removal.
* 50 Event Passes will be distributed by team coaches to players at each playing level.
* Most students will be limited to 1 pass/ 1 player.
* Any excess tickets will be used at school discretion.
* Spectator Game Attendance Schedule (no visiting spectators)
* 3/16/21 – Varsity Football Parents Only
* 4/19/21 – Band/Cheer/Dance Parents Only
* 4/23/21 – Senior Parents Only (football, band, cheer, & dance)
* There will be separate ticket distribution for JV & Freshman games.
* Spectators will not be allowed into the game without the proper pass/ticket.
* Spectators should not expect entry until 30 minutes prior to scheduled start times, or when the gate is opened for entry.
* Spectators can expect to be symptom screened and have their temperatures taken.
* No gathering in the bleachers or on school property.
* The west “tailgate” is closed.
* No concessions, you may bring your own.
* Please pick up any trash in your area and deposit it in the waste receptacles.
* The Only spectator entrance to the field will be in the North entrance off the FFA Greenhouse. Spectators shall park in the North parking lot.
* Upon entry, please proceed immediately to your chosen viewing area.
* Restrooms are located in the concession stand area.
Spectator Seating Areas
Please adhere to social distancing in these areas
* The Main Grandstands are designated for Pep Band only – no spectators.
* West Home bleachers/ North Guest bleachers.
* Either end zone behind fencing (all must socially distance).
* Lawn chairs are allowed/encouraged for non-bleacher seating.
* No golf carts are allowed.
* The track will be roped off between the ten-yard lines to eliminate fans behind the benches. Viewing is not permitted in this area.
* Members of the same household may sit together.
* Mixing of spectators from different households is prohibited.
* Media members shall contact the school prior to 3 p.m. the day of the game they intend to cover for the approval (media access will be dependent on availability).

* All TCHS home games for football (Frosh/JV/Varsity) will be streamed on the NFHS Network Channel.
* A subscription may be purchased for viewing of all home TCHS games and most of their opponents.

District 301 Volleyball Spectator Guidelines
* Masks must be worn at all times.
* Failure to follow IDPH guidelines will result in immediate removal.
* Event Passes will be distributed by team coaches to players at each level.
* Depending on team roster size at each playing level, 1-2 tickets will be distributed to use by a family member/parent/guardian of each player.
* They will only distribute two tickets for rosters that allow for all players to have two tickets.
* Any excess tickets will be used at the school’s discretion.
* Visiting teams will be given tickets which must be presented for entrance.
* There will be separate Event Passes for each level (Fr-So, JV, Varsity)
* Spectators will not be allowed into the game without the proper pass/ticket.
* Spectators should not expect entry until the gym has been sanitized and doors are open.
* Spectators can expect to be symptom screened and have their temperatures taken.
* The gym will be cleared immediately at the conclusion of the game.
* Spectators for prelim games (Fr-So/JV) should exit the game and return to their respective vehicles.
* No gathering in the gym, or outside.
* Please pick up any trash in your area and deposit it in the waste receptacles in each balcony.
* The bleachers/seating areas will be disinfected between matches.
* The Only spectator entrance to the TCHS gym will be in the South Circle gym entrance off of Van Allen St. Please park in this parking lot.
* Upon entry, please proceed immediately to your assigned seating area and sit on a marked space (represented by a Tuscola sticker) that is socially-distanced from other spectators.
* Members of the same household may sit together.
* Entrance doors will remain locked, except for 15 minutes initial entry and will be checked periodically throughout the game by Host management. Late arrivals are okay, but do not expect immediate entry.
* No concessions will be available.
* Restrooms are located in the northeast hallway of the cafeteria.
Spectator Seating Areas
* Tuscola Spectators will sit in the South Balcony only.
* Visiting Spectators will sit in the North Balcony only.
* Access to both seating areas are located on the west stairwells of the gym.
* Media members shall contact the school prior to 3 p.m. the day of the game they intend to cover for the approval (media access will be dependent on availability).
Live – Streaming on NFHS Network
* All TCHS home games for Volleyball, Girls Basketball, and Boys Basketball will be streamed on the NFHS Network Channel.
* Football games will be streamed on the outdoor cameras.
* Any East Prairie games that do not conflict, will be moved to TCHS and streamed on our NFHS Network Channel (check updated schedules when posted).
