Tuscola city council holds regular session meeting

The meeting of the Tuscola City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on Maonday, December 28. 

Following approval of the consent agenda, Mayor Dan Kleiss read thank you’s to the council from the Salvation Army and Paul Wisovoty for council member’s assistance in ringing the Salvation Army bells. He also read a thank you from County Clerk Judi Pollock for allowing the use of the community building for the election in November. 

The council also approved the appointment of Todd Ray as Assistant Fire Chief. They then approved Officer Dakota Mohr to Patrol Officer 1 with a pay increase to $21.75 an hour.

Mayor Kleiss ended the meeting wishing all a safe and happy new year and joking that he sure hopes 2021 is better than 2020.

The council also: 
* Approved the minutes of the December 14 council meeting.

* Approved the November financial report.

*Approved the payment of bills in the amount of $268,738.70.

* Adjourned at 7:38 p.m. until the January 11 meeting at 7:30 p.m.
