From the County Clerk

All Douglas County registered voters who voted in one of the last three elections (2020 Primary, 2019 Consolidated or 2018 General Election) will receive a Vote by Mail Application in the mail starting August. 1. If a voter wishes to Vote by Mail they would sign the application and return the application to the County Clerk’s office. Once the County Clerk receives the application to Vote by Mail the signature on the application is checked to the signature on file for that registered voter. Each application that was mailed out has a unique barcode specific to that voter. After the signature verification has been completed the barcode on the application is scanned indicating to the voter registration system that the voter has returned a Vote by Mail application. If a registered voter did not receive a Vote by Mail application and wants to Vote by Mail, as always they can call the office at 253-2442 and request a Vote by Mail application. September 24, 2020 is the first day to send out a ballot for Vote by Mail requests and the first day to vote Early in the County Clerk’s office.
