Letter from Mayor Gunter Fireworks Have Been Rescheduled

Dear Villa Grove,

As we continue to navigate very challenging circumstances we want to thank you for your loyal support. This community always amazes me but especially during difficult times.

In light of current circumstances and guidelines from the Illinois Governor’s Office regarding large gatherings and the re-opening of the State of Illinois, The City Council and I have rescheduled the fireworks display to September 19, 2020. The fireworks will be in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary Celebration for our school, Alumni Weekend, live music and possibly a Sunday event at Tri City Country Club.

As this date approaches we will be making announcements about plans to follow appropriate guidelines for large gatherings.
