Newspaper single copy, subscription cost to increase
Greg Hoskins, publisher of The Journal, Arthur Graphic-Clarion, Southern Piatt Record-Herald, and Mt. Zion Region News newspapers has announced an increase to single copy newspapers, subscriptions, and E-Editions.
“Due to the increased costs of printing and production, we unfortunately have to bear the costs of those budget additions,” stated Hoskins. “Regrettably, like other newspapers across the nation, we have to address this issue.”
The cost of a single copy newspaper will be $1.50 effective with the March 11 editions. Subscription rates will be: $40 for in-county subscribers, $45 for out-of-county subscribers $47.00 for out-of-state, and senior subscribers will receive a $2.50 discount. E-Editions will be $30. The new subscription prices will go into effect April 1.
“To our loyal subscribers as well as future subscribers, we are offering you the opportunity to lock-in the current subscriber costs for the next five years,” added Hoskins. “Call us at 217-253-5086 or go to our website at www.thetuscolajournal.com to subscribe.”
Hoskins stated he was proud of the local news coverage that is provided by each publication and knows the importance of providing that news service to each community.
“During a time when many community newspapers have closed their doors, we are standing strong, and will continue to serve our readers.”
