By Kendra Hennis
Mayor Dan Kleiss would like to give a big thank you to everybody who had a hand in making Christmastown so successful. He also noted that he attended his first Woman’s Club House Walk this year and had a good time. He thanked the Woman’s Club and their volunteers and the members of the community who opened up their homes for the event.

The Council also approved Ordinance 11 for the levy and assessment of taxes for the fiscal year beginning May 1 and ending April 30 for the City of Tuscola.

There were some TIF items that were also presented to the board at the meeting. The first was a grant for $5000 to Burgers & Beer at 807 E. Southline Road in order to expand parking at the new location. The board approved the motion. They also approved the transfer of 103 to 105 W. Sale to Flesor Family Confectionary from the City of Tuscola. This was an amendment added to their previous purchase, which did not include the Mulligan building. The terms now include the Mulligan building with the sale.

The Council also:

– Approved the minutes from the November 25 meeting.

– Approved the payment of bills in the amount of $129,923.30.

– Adjourned until December 23 at 7:30 p.m.
