By Kendra Hennis
There will be a benefit on Saturday, January 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Tuscola to support Hans Goodmann. Hans is a 17-year-old Tuscola High School student who has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He was hospitalized at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital for four weeks and has already undergone two procedures, with at least three or four more in the upcoming year. Hans is a member of the football team, band, and FFA. The benefit will have a mostaccioli, garlic bread, salad, and dessert dinner from Joe’s Pizza. There will also be live entertainment by local band, By Any Means, and glow bingo, a silent action, and a 50/50 raffle. Ticket prices are $15 and can be purchased at Tuscola IGA on Sunday, December 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. Tickets can also be found on Facebook on the “Hearts for Hans” page. Donations can made at Tuscola National Bank under the name Goodmann Benefit.
