I had the pleasure of attending my very first house walk this year. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It was like my own interactive episode of my favorite HGTV shows.
The Woman’s Club “Homes for the Holidays” tour presented five Tuscola homes, each beautiful and featuring different treasures. Thank you to John and Connie Coats, Jason and Wendy Wallace, Craig and Carol Munson, Chuck and Lynn Appleby, and Steve and Amy Fiscus for opening your homes for me and others to enjoy.
There was also a Christmas Tea hosted by the Smith House, where the Woman’s Club was selling wreaths as a part of their fundraiser.
The Downtown Design Studio then held an ornament “make and take” for the walkers to stop and create ornaments for their tree.
New to the walk was Santa’s Bakery and Workshop, where the Douglas County Area Junior Women’s club and the TWC Juniorettes had a Christmas bake sale. There were also booths set up by Santa’s elves with crafts to purchase.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event possible, the Tuscola Woman’s Club, and the homes and businesses that were a part.
