Douglas County welcomes Junior Women’s Club
By Kendra Hennis
The Douglas County Area Junior Woman’s Club was created in October 2019. It is a new service organization in our community that was created to provide an outlet for service for women with busy schedules. The club currently has thity-seven members, and they are accepting membership for more. There are no residency requirements for the organization, and the only requirement is paying annual dues. The club meets the third Thursday of each month, September through May. Their focus will be on service and networking. In the coming months, the club is looking forward to a food drive and community outreach with a focus in health and health wellness. The charter officers are president Kayleigh Rahn, vice president Michelle Black, secretary Emily Smith, and treasurer Emily Sommer. If you are interested in applying to join, please reach out to an officer or contact them via Facebook. Kayleigh can also be reached at knzyskowski@gmail.com.
