Wilkins named HOBY participant

Skylar Wilkins, a sophomore at Tuscola Community High School, was selected to attend the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership (HOBY) camp this summer.

Her parents are Jason Wilkins and Melinda Carleton. At TCHS she has been involved with dance, track, student council, and she was a contestant in the Junior Miss Tuscola Pageant.

HOBY’s flagship program, the State Leadership Seminar, is designed to empower high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents, and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, and community. The seminar offers attendees the opportunity to participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet state leaders, and explore personal leadership skills, while learning how to lead others and make a positive impact in the community.
