Rotary Food Drive needs donations

The Rotary Food Drive will be held on Saturday, October 26. Assisting Rotary will be the Tuscola Kiwanis Club and Sam’s Food Pantry volunteers.

The items needed by the Sam’s Food Pantry are personal hygiene products such as toothpaste, Kleenex, and feminine products. Canned food needs are corn, mushroom soup, and chili. Needed boxed items are crackers.

You may also make a monetary donation, which will be used to purchase additional needed items.

The Sam’s Food Pantry serves residents of Douglas County and is located in space provided by the Tuscola United Methodist Church, located at 901 N. Prairie Street. Hours of operation are Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The pantry is staffed with volunteers who thank the community for their support in helping those families who have food insecurity issues. If you would like to volunteer at the Sam’s Food Pantry, contact Margie at 217-621-4035.
