County Coroner Joseph Victor seeking reelection

Douglas County Coroner Joseph A. Victor has announced his candidacy for another term. Victor was first elected to the position in 1994 and has served the county as corner for 25 years.

Victor and his wife Lu Ann live in Tuscola. Victor retired from Tuscola Fire Department after serving 15 years.

During Victor’s tenure, the office of Douglas County Coroner has implemented computerized reporting systems and death certificate systems. Victor also noted that his staff has been trained in death investigations as well as death notification procedures and strive to continue the educational process for staff members to better prepare them to serve our communities.

Victor’s hope is to continue being fiscally responsible and provide a knowledgeable, compassionate staff to serve those individuals that his office may come in contact with.

“We want to continue to serve the people of Douglas County in their time of need,” Victor said.

Victor will seek the Republican nomination in the Tuesday, March 17 primary election.
