Local has success at Ford Youth World show

Natalie Lane of Tuscola was a finalist in Adequan Level 2 Aged Geldings at the 2019 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show on Aug. 1, 2019 at the State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. 

Lane showed the American Quarter Horse Style To Skip To. The 2002 Sorrel Gelding by Don’t Skip Zip and out of Celebrate In Style, was bred by Rodney Neblo of Onsted, Mich. 

In the Aged Geldings class, 16 entries competed for champion honors. Adequan Level 2 finalists received a finalist medallion. 

The Ford Youth World is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors ages 18 and under around the world, who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines. More than 3,660 entries from the United States, Canada, Australia, Costa Rica, Denmark and Poland are competing for 42 world championships and 33 Adequan Level 2 championship titles at this year’s event, Aug. 1-10 in Oklahoma City.
