Mr. and Mrs. Burns to celebrate 70th anniversary

Dale and Martha (Guy) Burns of Tuscola will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Wednesday, July 17.

The couple was married July 17, 1949 at Tuscola Methodist Church. Dale is retired from USI/Quantum, where he worked for 38 years, and Martha is a homemaker.

Dale and Martha have two children: J. Richard (Vickie) Burns of Moline and Barbara (Mark) Kroenig of St. Louis. Their grandchildren are: Matthew Kroenig, Washington, D.C.; Bradley Kroenig, Wyckoff, N.J.; Julie (Kroenig) Forbes, Cincinnati, Ohio; Kelly Burns, Moline; and Keith Burns, Moline; great-grandchildren are: Eleanora Kroenig, Washington, D.C.; Hudson and Jameson Kroenig, Wyckoff, N.J.; Langston, Scarlet, Rowan, and Booker Forbes, Cincinnati, Ohio; and one granddaughter, Angela Burns, is deceased.

No celebration is planned, but the couple would welcome cards and phone calls.
