Two nights later the Hornets took down a tough defense in ALAH 28-22.
“The eighth grade had a rough game against ALAH,” Pugh said. “ALAH ran some different types of defense to take us out of our offense. Our shots were not falling. I told the girls at halftime to keep shooting, but we need to get some offensive rebounds.”
Boyer posted a game high 14 points, while Wilcox and Meyer added five apiece. Woodard and Molly Macaulay had two points each.
“I was proud of the girls for staying focused and finding a way to win,” Pugh said.
