EP-15; Crestwood-25

The seventh grade girls took a tough, 15-25 loss against Paris Crestwood

“The seventh grade played more aggressive against a tough Crestwood team than they did against Sullivan, and Sullivan isn’t at the level that Crestwood is,” Pugh said. “I was happy to see us be more aggressive on both ends of the court.”

Thomason was tops again with five points, Sydney Moss added four, Boyer had three, Czerwonka put together two, and Addyson Ring added one.

EP-40; LSA-9

The seventh grade closed their regular season a 40-9 win over LSA.

“I would give us about a C in the first half, but we made some adjustments at halftime and really played much better in the second half,” Pugh said. “The girls have really improved throughout the season.”

Moss had a huge game with 14 points, and Thomason added to the fun with 12. Ring, Czerwonka, and Catie Gibson added four each, and Racheal Jones had two.

The girls ended the regular season with a record of 11-12 and 6-1 in the conference. They started their regional tournament on Saturday, Nov. 17 in St. Joe against Westville.

EP-30; LSA-21

The eighth grade had a mission against LSA after falling to them last year. And with the 30-21 victory, all was right in the regular season ender.

“We started the game out good on the offensive end,” Pugh said. “We played good defense in the first half of the second quarter, but didn’t stay as focused as I wanted.”

Boyer led with 14 points, and Meyer added 10. Izzy Wilcox tallied four points, while Woodard and Macaulay had one each.

The eighth grade ended their regular season with a record of 15-8 and 5-2 in the conference. The eighth grade will start their regional tournament after Thanksgiving.
