Wednesday, Sept. 12 FCCLA had the annual Section 15 Officer Training Conference – Explore the Unexplored at the United Methodist Church with 56 members attending from seven different schools including Tuscola, Arcola, ALAH, Altamont, Casey-Westfield, Shiloh, and Sullivan. The four sessions were: “A Little Bit of Everything” with Section 15 Officers Faith Hardwick and Abbie Heath; Interviewing and the Hiring Process from Angie Matlock, Tuscola, Arcola and Sullivan’s McDonald’s owner; Janie Cantu, a former FCCLA member; and Team Building and Leadership by SFC Gary Miller. Thank you so much to all of them for helping make this conference awesome and to our Keynote Speaker, Mr. Danny Powell for taking time to talk about leadership! Also, thank you to Flesor’s Candy Kitchen for catering our taco bar for a delicious lunch! Tuscola FCCLA also had the second chapter meeting Thursday, Sept. 13 where students signed up for the Homecoming game bake sale on Friday, Sept. 28 playing Sullivan!

Tuscola Warriorettes and Cheerleaders held the 2018 Junior Princess Dance and Cheer Football Clinic with around 100 kindergartners through fifth graders. Practices were Sept. 12-13 at North Ward from 6-8 p.m. All our little girls and boys performed two cheers and a short dance at the pre-game Friday, Sept. 14 against St. Teresa. Thank you to all our participants! Also, a big thank you to Coach Sarah for setting it all up and to Tuscola school staff for helping hand out forms and getting the word out!
