Tuesday, April 24 Chris Herren, a father of three who travels the country advocating for recovering drug addicts from his personal experience while being a NBA Basketball Star, talked to all of Douglas County’s high schools plus East Prairie seventh and eighth grade at 1 p.m. and another open to the public at 7 p.m. TCHS SADD participated in the planning of the event with Chris Herren coming; making sure all TCHS and EP students had a purple ribbon for the Chris Herren Project Purple tying in with his message. They were greeters for all six schools: East Prairie seventh and eighth grade, Villa Grove, Heritage, Arcola, and ALAH and showed the students where to sit in the gym. Also, SADD greeted everyone for the evening presentation.
Wednesday, April 25 FFA had their monthly meeting discussing the many upcoming summer events.
