Seventh grade girls close season in sectional loss to Teutopolis

The seventh grade girls’ basketball team ended a successful 2017 campaign in sectional competition against Teutopolis 19-28 on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Ella Boyer did damage with 16 points, and Izzy Wilcox added three.

“We started out strong getting to the rim and making some shots,” head coach Beth Pugh said. “Teutopolis missed some of their early shots, and we came up with some important rebounds so they only had one try. We got into some foul trouble mid-way through the game, which made us adjust our game plan. We still came out strong and never gave up. The girls were determined to win, and that determination never changed. The girls were not intimidated playing Teutopolis at Teutopolis.”
